Applied online and was reached out to by HR to schedule a phone screening. On the day of the interview, was emailed that they planned to offer the role to a different candidate which I appreciated but thought it was odd they were still conducting screenings so far into their process. Two weeks later, HR reached out again explaining that things had fallen through with the original candidate and they were looking to schedule a screening. I was still looking for an opportunity so scheduled my screening which was a fairly typical screening call. I progressed to the next round which was a panel interview with the hiring manager and another member of the team. Was a straight forward interview with fairly general questions, but seemed as though they could benefit from someone a bit more technical and process oriented on the team which were areas I specialized in. They ended the interview by mentioning they were excited for next steps and I would hear back soon. I reached out to HR a day or two later because I had actually received an offer elsewhere but was still hoping to finish the process with ASQ. Unfortunately, HR responded that ASQ planned to offer the role to a different candidate. I appreciated the communication throughout the process but felt like my time had been a bit wasted and I had gotten involved in the process to have any real chance. I'm sure their process is no different from any other company, just par for the course when interviewing for jobs where companies aren't looking to waste time when it comes to filling roles. Still really enjoyed meeting with the team and am sure that they made a great hire that filled their immediate needs.
