      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ASML (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2026

      Interview

Screening call with their recruiter, who was pleasant to speak to and handled all subsequent email communications/scheduling. One hour virtual meeting with hiring manager and department manager. One hour on-site interview with hiring manager and department manager, and several other people, some of which I had no idea why they were participating, and left half way through. Confusion started early on with two salaries being listed on the JD. The initial role I applied to was Technical Trainer II, but all subsequent emails with the recruiter were titled Technical Trainer III. When I arrived for the on-site interview, the person at the front desk had no idea I had an interview, or who to call. Took almost 15 minutes to get the hiring manager to the front door. Once in the interview room, they couldn't get the connection to their screen working (recruiter had told me there is HDMI and Bluetooth available). I had to present a technical topic, but the hiring manager seemed confused at which task I had been given, even though I double-checked with the recruiter as there were two different tasks emailed to me. The department manager openly questioned why I applied to Tech Trainer III as, in his words, it was a lower level than what my experience brings and it entry-level. I told him that the JD and pay range matched my most recent role quite well, but he still seemed unconvinced. Overall, I feel that the meeting went well, but they already had someone in mind, or just needed to check a DEI box off. The next day, the recruiter emailed me a one-liner rejection with zero feedback. A week after that, she emailed me a request for feedback on ASML's interview process (!). In the end, the experience was professionally humiliating and made me feel like Token, from South Park. It was massively stressful and a lot of work for nothing but a one-liner rejection.

      Application

      I interviewed at ASML

      Interview

Initial interview was with Talent Acquisition. Interviewer was very informative and professional. Able to answer all of the questions I had regarding the position. Second interview was held with two individuals, both very attentive. The environment was professional and comfortable. **All interviews were virtual. A final interview was offered however, I withdrew due to inability to relocate at the time.
