Hi there, this is Jason, the CEO. I'm so sorry to hear that you felt our process was biased.. The entire system is built to weed bias out of the process altogether. I'll go back and make sure we haven't slipped on this goal.
Just to be clear, no one on our side reviewed your resume, saw your face, or asked you a personal question. The entirety of the interviewing filter is how well did you pitch us on 42Floors using our own script. The reason we ask ever person to stick to the script during the interview is so that each person can be evaluated on an apples to apples basis.
Only the top 1% of pitches are advanced to the next round, so it's a very tight filter. But I do promised that we've worked incredibly hard to rid it of bias. For those that do receive and accept job offers with us, you'll find the team to be wonderfully diverse. That's entirely due to the an interview process that put objective evaluation above some sort of subjective fit.
Our process isn't for everyone, but it's with the best intentions that we try to be fair.
