Does Trane Technologies offer dental insurance?

Pros

Pay is comparable to area. There are some good people here. Business seems to be doing well with plenty of overtime opportunities. Benefits are decent in most cases.

Cons

Management shift has left a lot to be desired. Unrealistic expectations of employees. They have a new focus on getting the most numbers out of machines regardless if you need the inventory or not. Communication is terrible. There is a "you have to do your time" attitude with hiring. You will have to work on 2nd shift at some point in time so prepare for that if you have a family. Growth opportunities are limited unless you know somebody that will do you a favor. Health insurance is garbage here. It's an extremely high deductible plan that you'll almost never meet. Had to take my wife's insurance just to not go broke with medical bills. Sometimes overtime opportunities are if you like them or not which will at times put a strain on home life. Getting to a desired shift is a nightmare.

Advice to Management

Restructure, restructure, restructure. Current people in certain rolls have personal agendas that spit in the face of core values that used to mean something. Be the bigger person and stop holding grudges. Start acting like adults for a change. Actually hire based on performance and qualifications, not just because of beliefs and identity. Stick to your word and be honest when you don't know the answer to something.

Does Trane Technologies offer parental leave?

Pros

- Benefits - Flexible Hours - Large vacations and paternity leave - Competitive Pay - Many Opportunities

Cons

- Slow to Adapt - Too Much Waste (man-hours, technologies, materials) - Decision Making Not Data Driven

Advice to Management

Needs better analytics, training, and adaptability. Upper management often has poor quality data, then makes poor quality decisions. Grunt workers push back at attempted changes when poorly trained or decisions don't address real issues. Middle management aren't empowered to be decision makers and instead are baby sitters for the grunt workers... feedback cycle continues over years means a lot of wasted potential. A few small changes could make a big difference.
