Pros
The only pro is that they connected me to a company where I was hired for a contract role.
Cons
It has been a nightmare from day 1.
They hired me for a 12 month contract only for me to find out from the vendor that it was in fact a 6 month contract, 5 months in. I left my full-time job for the role so this was super frustrating and put me in a difficult position. Communication between the vendor and Artech seems to be terrible and I don't feel like I can count on them or the information they provide.
They don't seem to be tuned into the vendor where I am contracting, which is being impacted by major layoffs, and they didn't seem to be aware until I emailed them about it (despite this being globally public knowledge).
The recruiter I worked with was uniformed about the role, giving me wildly incorrect information, which affected my interview. I ended up getting the job but I didn't really know what the job was until after I started.
I was passed around from person to person at Artech, unclear who my representative or point of contact was.
They would overpay me despite me entering my pay correctly in the system and then have to take it out of my later paychecks.
Most communications are seemingly incoherent or robotic. The team members rarely acknowledge my questions or responses in emails, providing very standardized, generic responses. I feel very alone and unsupported as a contractor for a major enterprise company and hear of other contractors having much better experiences with other agencies.
No benefits, or such bad ones that they directly advised me to privately seek out my own.
The agency <> contractor relationship is super important and I am really disappointed with this experience. I wish I had found a different organization to represent me.
