Pros
work from home was nice
Cons
the pay was horrible, typical canadian salary
Pros
- The commission was generous, however your base salary was very average compared to other recruitment jobs in BC. Not worth it just based on the commission.
Cons
- NO flexibility - for personal matters, family emergencies, appointments etc - You do not want to ask for time off as they will not allow it. - It's expected that you stay late every day to fill the business, no consideration for employee's well-being or mental state. - NO work from home days - They advertise flexibility and a hybrid schedule but it couldn't be further from the truth. Manager's promise work from home days if you fill a certain amount of roles which is always unattainable, & even if you do attain it, there will be an additional reason as to why you cannot work from home. - Overworked - work 7:30AM - 5:30PM on average most days and if you were seen to be leaving before that time, prepare to be questioned as to where you're going, what you're doing & a reason as to why you cannot cancel your plans to work on the open roles. - Have openly been told by management that they 'do not care what you have going on outside of work', & telling you to 'Figure it out & Cancel any plans as we are all staying late tonight' - No respect for their staff - they just want to work you until you physically & mentally cannot take it any more & are forced to leave. When you do leave there is no follow up message or nice words from any one member of leadership. - Blackmail - they will promise you things if you stay in or hit a certain target but never actually follow through with their promise. - Messaging every day along the lines of 'you will not be successful in life if you do not meet these professional goals'. - You are expected to stop & drop everything to fill a role. You will be told to 'find a solution' if you cannot find a candidates for a role, not provided any help on the recruit or how we can make this work for both sides. - Manager's expect you to bring & share your personal life experiences / circumstances into work and share with the team so they can 'fully understand what's happening in your life', when it is really a tactic to be able to manage your personal life also and ensure your able to give more to the company.

Pros
Resources to perform the job well Good CEO
Cons
Account managers are not held accountable while recruiters are expected to always be doing better. Once you become an account manager at this Aerotek office you are invincible and can do as little work as you want and show up as little as possible with no repercussions. There are multiple meetings every single day that are completely pointless and collectively waste everyone's times. They are basically a running joke at this point. Bias and favoritism run DEEP in this company, Constant changes to the system constant changes to the way we do things constant changes to just about everything when it isn't needed My director for some reason encouraged his own employees to get in romantic relationships even though one of the first trainings you do at this company discourages that Barely any training or development I had to train a new recruiter after only being with the company for two months because none of the managers wanted to My director refused to even attempt to help me on multiple occasions where i went to his office for help on minor things When working from home was taken away, account managers were still able to work from home. No transparency, No check ins, No progress reports. One account manager is a part time worker at this office, The director allowed him to not work in the afternoons while still getting full pay. Mind you this is the only account manager left in the entire office so there is literally no sales being done past 11AM.
