That’s a wrap on this year’s Shopee 11.11 Big Sale! At Shopee, we go big on celebrating our employees and milestones. From 11.11 campaign packs delivered straight to our employees’ doorsteps in Vietnam, to distributing sweet treats and special drinks to those working in the office in Shenzhen, we marked the end of another successful campaign. In Singapore, we organised terrarium-making and tea appreciation workshops for employees to explore and enjoy. Over in Thailand, employees were treated to a virtual concert starring local artiste, Nont-Tanont! We are happy to see Shopee's 11.11 Big Sale make a big impact on shoppers, businesses and local communities. Shoppers across the region snapped up over 2 billion items ranging from groceries, mobile phones, to furniture throughout the festival period, breaking past-year records. We also helped more people access and enjoy the benefits of e-commerce, with a 5-time increase in the number of shoppers from rural and smaller towns. First-time local sellers in the region saw a strong boost to their businesses, with orders surging 18 times. We also brought businesses and shoppers closer together, with more than 3.5 billion messages sent in-app on Shopee Chat across 11.11. In Thailand, we rallied users to give back through our Mini Charity Concert, which recorded over 500,000 views on Shopee Live, and raised more than 1 million baht throughout 11.11. At Shopee, we do our best to support talent around us. Aspiring Indonesian entrepreneur Asror dreams of helping businesses in his hometown export and grow. He recently joined Shopee’s UMKM Export Campus in Solo, after taking President Joko Widodo’s advice to learn there. Asror picked up essential skills, and Shopee provided him with a working capital of IDR 50 million to launch his online business. We are excited to embark on this journey with him. In the Philippines, our Shopee Express rider Josel is an undergraduate working part-time to support his grandmother, and ease financial burden at home. Outside of work, he is a table tennis athlete who aspires to be a coach one day. He balances school, work, and training with strong focus and determination. We are deeply humbled by Josel’s devotion to his work, especially to his family and dreams. To further support him, we gifted him a new motorcycle and essentials for his family. Shopee is humbled to be a part of these inspiring stories. Together, we can do more to uplift talent and help them achieve their aspirations.

Shopee’s 10.10 Brands Festival marked 5 years of Shopee Mall, and we are continuing our efforts in driving growth for brands across the region. This year, we worked with thousands of international and local brands to bring the best deals and rewards to everyone. Here’s how we’ve also shown our support for local brands this 10.10: - In Singapore, we partnered with ‘Made With Passion’ to create online retail showcases for local businesses, making their products more widely available. - Our ‘Buy Malaysia’ campaign made its return for 10.10 in Malaysia, connecting shoppers to local brands they love. - In Indonesia, our #ShopeePilihLokal (Shopee Chooses Local) opened up more opportunities for local brands to market their original crafts and artisanal products. - In the Philippines, the Go Lokal programme, which promotes local products from MSMEs, launched its official store on Shopee Mall to reach more shoppers. Together with the support of our brand partners, we look forward to delivering greater value at the 10.10 Brands Festival.
Shopee is helping businesses strengthen their digital presence and make the most of the year-end shopping season. In Indonesia, our new Shopee MSME Campuses in Solo, Bandung and Semarang support underserved sellers to expand their businesses online. They can visit its in-house facilities to upskill, and even create their marketing materials. In Taiwan, our Shopee for Business Facebook page is a one-stop resource that educates sellers about e-commerce. Every month, we engage brand representatives for our live webinars to share digital tips and brand case studies with sellers. This will help them stay ahead of the curve and grow in the long term. In Thailand, we curated opportunities for MSMEs to gain financial knowledge and support from industry experts. Our second edition of Shopee University: Financial Edition welcomed speakers from leading local banks (KBank, Siam Commercial Bank and Bank of Ayudhya) who shared various tips to help Thai sellers manage their business finances more efficiently. We look forward to empowering more local businesses on the road ahead.
Shopee’s signature 9.9 Super Shopping Day was a great success! We delivered a memorable and rewarding experience for shoppers across the region. Users were spoilt for choice with the best deals and widest variety of products on Shopee. They bought a total of 45 million items in the first 99 minutes of 9 September, and claimed 60 million vouchers in the first 2 hours. This translated into strong results for first-time local sellers, who saw 8 times more orders on 9.9. Across the region, Shopee continued to delight users with exciting activities. Users watched 24 million hours of fun-filled livestreams. This includes an exclusive interview with Jackie Chan, and exciting performances by leading K-pop groups TWICE and Secret Number. On Shopee Prizes, we saw a total of 4.5 billion game plays. Our Jackie Chan-themed Shopee Shake emerged as a crowd favourite, with 440 million shakes recorded.
