What was the turning point where you ‘had to have the job’? Dermot said that this first international office was like building a house: it didn’t have a roof yet and it is pouring rain outside. This connected strongly to my ‘why’: new experiences, pushing my comfort zone and seeing things grow & develop – he definitely made that come through.
My why is finding balance and calm in all aspects of my life so that I can be the best version of me. I’m a natural introvert which may be atypical for a salesperson. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy my daily interactions but when I go home at the end of the working day, I need headspace and I make sure I get it. I have gotten good at saying no. I switch off through cooking, exercising, reading, listening to music and watching Netflix (things that you can zone out to – at the moment I’m loving Marie Kondo!). http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vM9sc
What is your ‘why’? Why do you do what you do… ‘Why’ is one of my favourite words. I love to understand people. You can learn a lot if you really listen to what people have to say and understand the meaning behind it. I’m curious by nature from both a learning aspect and from a people aspect. Early in my career I realised that helping people grow on both a personal level and a professional level is something I deeply care about. I just so happened to find that I could do that in Qualtrics. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQO90

At Qualtrics we believe in experiences. We want to be sure we provide our employees the best employee experience possible. One way we do this is to offer to pay for an annual ‘Qualtrics Experience’. The employee can decide when/where/how to have this experience and then let us know what they learned. This story is part of a ‘Qualtrics Experience’ blog series showcasing our employees and their ultimate experience. This story not only showcases our Employee Experience but it also goes to show you that we are a family around here! We not only work with each other but like to vacation with each other on occasion. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQqzv
