Each year the SuperValu TidyTowns competition inspires almost 30,000 volunteers to give over 3 million hours of their time to improve their local communities and environment. 💚
Exciting news from Northern Ireland! 🙌 Musgrave has teamed up with the NOW Group, a fantastic social enterprise, to make a positive impact on the lives of people with learning difficulties and autism. Through their Skills to Employment Programme (STEP), they aim to provide sustainable job opportunities for 25 individuals over the next five years. In addition to this, #SuperValu and #Centra stores in Northern Ireland are taking steps towards greater inclusivity and accessibility by becoming JAM Card friendly. This initiative, developed by the NOW Group, empowers individuals with learning difficulties, autism, or communication barriers to seek understanding in any social situation, using a simple yet effective non-verbal approach.

Pleased to announce the opening of a new £1M Centra store on the Shore Road in Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim. The new Centra Trackside store is 1,700 sq ft in size and the forecourt supports 12 jobs and combines modern convenience retail with an extensive grocery and food-to-go offering. Aligning with our sustainability goals, the new store also features new LED lighting, energy-efficient refrigeration, and digital screens to reduce the store’s energy consumption and carbon footprint.
Our Musgrave Early Careers Summit took place recently and was a great opportunity for colleagues on early careers pathways from across the business to get to know each other and to meet senior leaders, including Noel Keeley, Musgrave CEO. The summit was anchored on business presentations from participants on the Musgrave Graduate Programme and it was an engaging and insightful session. Attendees included colleagues participating in the Musgrave Graduate Programme, internships, and apprenticeships across the business, as well as members of GenRep, Musgrave’s Youth Board, and early careers colleagues from Musgrave España. Well done to our project teams on their work and presentations on the day!
