We are proud as a firm to support iCAN: The Insurance Cultural Awareness Network, at gold sponsor level, and as part of that we’ve recently hosted two fantastic summer events with iCAN in our London and Birmingham offices: 🌍 World Culture Quiz Night 9 July hosted in our London office saw attendees come together for some friendly competition whilst enjoying cultural foods and music from around the world. It was an unforgettable evening of fun, laughter, dancing and networking, with one attendee saying “hands down the best networking event I have been to”. 🥂 Summer drinks Beazley x Kennedys 17 July hosted in our Birmingham office provided attendees with an opportunity to network with diverse talent in the insurance industry. Thanks to Avinder Sidhu and Sandip Sidhu for representing Kennedys at the event. A big thank you to all attendees who made these two events so memorable, and special mention to Echaunti Swan, Kishan Mangat and the iCAN team, plus Chanèle Couture, J.D. and Marianne Blattès, PhD at Kennedys for bringing everything together. We look forward to hosting many more events with iCAN, keep an eye out for upcoming networking opportunities.

Every year thousands of people join the London Legal Walk to raise vital funds for the London Legal Support Trust, which is an independent charity that raises funds for free legal advice services in London and the South East. This year is the London Legal Walk’s 20th anniversary, so earlier this week, over 50 colleagues from our London and Chelmsford offices (and our honorary four legged mascot) took on the iconic 10k route through London’s parks. The team passed by some of our most famous landmarks, and everyone enjoyed a well-earned drink at the finish line. Thank you to our co-ordinating team Clare Ferry and Nicola Miller, and Clare commented: “It was great to see so many of our Kennedys colleagues join forces to raise funds for legal advice centres. All of our walkers should be proud of their fundraising efforts; it was well worth all those steps!” To find out more about the Kennedys’ team’s efforts, visit our fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/eJMd8-tJ

Kennedys' professional liability team recently spent an afternoon volunteering at the Hackney Foodbank, as part of their ‘supermarket sweep’ fundraising initiative. The group split into teams with Nikki Baynes leading one, and winning the various elements of the competition. Our donation of £1,500 helped provide around 83 three-day emergency food parcels for individuals and families. Partner Paul Lowe commented: "The afternoon was a great display of teamwork and an opportunity to spend some meaningful time with colleagues away from the office. We all had a lot of fun, but also felt a sense of collective effort and contribution to the local community." hashtag#socialimpact hashtag#volunteering hashtag#makeadifference
