ENERCON employees from Ireland & GB attending the annual Wind Energy Conference in January 2025. The Conference focused on Ireland's role in accelerating the transition to net-zero and achieving energy independence. Onshore wind farms are under construction across Ireland, offshore projects are entering the planning system, and a second offshore auction is approaching. The Irish Government has reformed the planning system and announced an unprecedented €750 million investment in strengthening the national electricity grid. While progress is being made, the climate crisis continues to worsen, and Irish families face rising energy costs due to dependence on imported fossil fuels. Wind energy, alongside other zero-carbon technologies, is essential for reducing carbon emissions and ensuring affordable, secure energy for consumers. Wind farms are the solution.
ENERCON Ireland has been recognised for its continuing innovation and commitment to being a major employer in many rural communities throughout Ireland (and around the world) by winning Multinational of the Year at the Tech Industry Alliance Leaders Awards 2024.
