One In A Million Charity takes a strategic step forward by merging its school with Delta
We are incredibly proud to share that our CEO Paul Tarn has been awarded the honour of Knight Bachelor (Kt) in the Kingโs Birthday Honours List. Sir Paul has worked tirelessly for more than 30 years to raise educational standards and lift the North from educational poverty. His commitment to education has changed the lives of tens of thousands of children and young adults in our communities.
We are incredibly proud to share that Estcourt Primary Academy has received high praise following its recent Ofsted inspection, with the report describing the academy as โa truly exceptional place.โ Inspectors recognised the schoolโs unwavering commitment to excellence in all areas, from the quality of education to leadership, personal development and early years provision. The report highlights the academyโs high ambitions for every pupil and its warm, respectful environment where โdifference is respected and celebrated.โ One of the many strengths highlighted was the schoolโs commitment to nurturing the whole child. As Ofsted noted, โThe school has created an environment that focuses on teaching pupils to be proud of their achievements, both academically and personally.โ The schoolโs personal development curriculum was described as โvibrant and extensive,โ offering enriching opportunities that help pupils grow in confidence, character and aspiration. From the nurturing early years setting to the inspiring learning taking place across all year groups, Estcourt is a place where pupils thrive. Staff were also commended for their dedication and consistency, with the report noting how shared approaches and high-quality support ensure that every child can succeed. A Year in Review and a Vision for the Future Delta Academies Trustโs annual conference, held at The Milner in York on 17th and 18th October 2024, was a resounding success. The Delta Academies Charitable Trust Charity Ball, held on Saturday March 16th, at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, was a resounding success. The elegant evening raised over ยฃ10,900, an astounding amount which will provide many grants to deserving students across the Trust. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal, lively entertainment from a talented band, and a night filled with fun and games. Attendees participated in a round of bingo with wine prizes, a โcash bonanzaโ, and a raffle packed with incredible offerings such as Smart TVs, electronic goods, and luxury hampers. The star prize, a weekend getaway to London with theatre tickets, left one lucky winner ecstatic. The dance floor was buzzing all night long as attendees socialised and celebrated until the early hours. The atmosphere was electric, fuelled by a shared passion for supporting student dreams. โThis incredible evening was a testament to the power of community and generosity. Seeing everyone come together to support our students was truly heartwarming. The funds raised will make a real difference in the lives of many, allowing them to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential without financial limitations.
