Advice to women who want to advocate for equity in our institution and social interaction: Show up as yourself—you must accept who you are and then share it with the world unapologetically. Join networks that advocate for what you believe in! Support for one another is required. – Aisha, Operations Analyst – United States Achievement you are most proud of: Completing my master’s degree! A few years into my career, I decided that I needed more than just my design degree to continue growing professionally. I decided to pursue a Masters in Marketing. For two years, I would go to work full-time from 8-5 and head over to class from 7-10:30 p.m. I was so tired, but I was so proud of myself for not giving up. It was well worth it. – Grisell, Director, Product Management – Mexico A woman who has most impacted your career: Definitely my mother. I was born in Italy 50 years ago; many of my female friends grew up with mothers who encouraged them to be great homemakers and mothers to support a husband who would have the economic responsibility of the family. Not my mother! My mother and father wanted me to study and take a university degree to become independent and make decisions about my life.
