Every July, we celebrate #DisabilityPrideMonth, celebrating and reclaiming the visibility of the history and achievements of people with disabilities and chronic illness. This month began to mark the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which is now celebrated in the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, and many other countries. It connects to a larger movement for disability justice and serves as a reminder that it is everyone’s responsibility to create a more accessible and inclusive world. Throughout this year, we’re building our allyship capabilities at Circana through our Allyship in the Workplace program. Let’s continue to break down barriers to inclusion and champion policies that prohibit discrimination. #CircanaDEI

As the parent of an LGBTQIA+ teen, and with many other LGBTQIA+ people in my family and community, Pride means being willing to show up to do the real work of advocacy and to honestly reflect my Pride every day. Who is my Pride Hero in the LGBTQIA+ community? My biggest heroes right now are the organizations on the frontlines of legal challenges to LGBTQIA+ discrimination in the U.S., including Chase Strangio at the ACLU, the folks at the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Human Rights Campaign. How will you celebrate Pride in June and throughout the year? As someone active in LGBTQIA+ issues at Circana and at home in Florida, I am a big believer in the power of this community’s joy, humor, and tenacity. I try to connect to that energy year-round and draw hope from it daily. This June, I am looking to celebrate this with all of you. #CircanaCelebratesPride

🧠✨ April marks Neurodiversity and Autism Acceptance Month! It encompasses various neurodivergent conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, and many more. People with these conditions often face challenges “fitting into” traditional school or work environments, where their unique strengths and diverse abilities are overlooked. This month, let’s unite to honor neurodiversity and autism acceptance month and promote acceptance and appreciation for all. The UN also designated April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day to affirm and promote the human rights and fundamental freedoms of autistic people on an equal basis with others.
