Today, Ofcom has published its review of Public Service Media in the UK, calling on the Government to make sure that platforms including YouTube give fair prominence to Public Service Broadcaster content, helping audiences to see content that reflects life in the UK. Following Channel 4 Dispatches' groundbreaking investigation with The Sunday Times, King Charles and Prince William’s private estates - the Duchy of Lancaster and the Duchy of Cornwall - have this week announced significant changes. Broadcast last Autumn, the documentary exposed details of rents charged to charities, the NHS and other public bodies, which had previously been kept secret. The Duchy of Lancaster, for example, stood to earn £11.4m from one NHS Trust renting a warehouse to store ambulances. Now, following the investigation: ✅ The Duchy of Cornwall has decided to cut the rent it charges to some charities. ✅ The Duchy of Lancaster has announced it will review rents charged to the NHS and other public bodies.
