During the week of Earth Day, our Buffalo and Long Island-based teams visited local parks and gardens to plant trees, while our Atlanta, GA-based colleagues visited Piedmont Park to help with conservation efforts. Arbor’s Sarah Brinkman, MBA, SVP, Structured Asset Management, spoke at The Capital Symposium at The Commercial Real Estate Group at GSU in Atlanta, GA, which brought together CRE leaders to discuss capital markets, real estate finance, and trends shaping commercial real estate. Arbor reignited our collaboration with Project Destined this spring through a Commercial Real Estate Finance Bridge Program and a Real Estate Finance & Advisory Career Pathways Bridge Program with EisnerAmper. Our colleagues had the pleasure of hosting the Bridge program cohort at our New York City office for networking and a Q&A session with Arbor employees. Two months ago, Arbor team members returned to the Mary Brennan INN Soup Kitchen in Hempstead, NY, to help prepare and serve a nutritious lunch to hundreds of guests who rely on the organization for meals and other essential services. One way we encourage employees to deliver quality customer service is by supporting key local nonprofit organizations, such as the INN.
Three months ago, Arbor’s Buffalo, NY, colleagues returned to FeedMore WNY, helping to assemble an impressive total of 600 non-perishable nutritious food bags for low-income Western New York children, ensuring they have reliable access to healthy meals throughout the weekend. Coinciding with American Heart Month in February, several Arbor offices participated in a Steps Challenge as a fun way to encourage our team to stay active and create long-term healthy habits.
Arbor employees joined millions across the country to recognize Wear Red Day, part of American Heart Month in February. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women in the U.S., and awareness of risks and symptoms is critical. Wear Red Day unites communities around the common mission of ending heart disease and stroke, while serving as a reminder to prioritize our health and look out for one another.
Arbor employees from our Newport Beach, CA office returned to The Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in Irvine, CA, to help sort and process nutritious food for the organization’s partner network and communities. As always, we enjoyed the opportunity to advance Arbor’s commitment to making an impact in the communities where we live and work and help the food bank fulfill its mission to create a strong foundation for community health. Supported by a network of volunteers, The Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County distributes more than 42 million pounds of food to nearly 460,000 people each month.
