Pros

Something different every day! Most of the other employees are nice.

Cons

There is NO training. There is NO support from upper management Upper management picks favorites and they change often We screw clients over on a daily basis and upper management hides behind you! Horrible benefits, horrible. No advancement opportunities Too many directors and managers and not enough direct reports Promise of education that you will never see Expect to work 24/7, no excuses. They claim snacks but there are only snacks if someone makes a run to Costco, which doesn't happen often. They drinks are only if you like coke, diet coke or corona. Otherwise, the water is for the clients. There are a few directors that have a temper problem, screaming, yelling and otherwise acting like an insane maniac. They change titles and job descriptions every other day. Okay, maybe it's only once a month... The owner will not engage in conversation with you or invite you to events, unless it's a company event, unless you are a man. The owner insults and makes fun of people that work there on a regular basis. The pay is much less than average..."but they have reports showing otherwise" This is a sweatshop and you are only a tool to them. Many people are often insulted in their interviews with the owner, I mostly heard "lazy" but I'm sure there are others. Really, the list goes on and on...these are just a few off the top of my head. "This is a company run by a spoiled child that has daddy's money to bail him out." -Current Employee's words They did a poll of how the employees felt about the company, while it was up at the beginning of the year from the terribly low score it was, it wasn't up by much. Now, I'm sure it's much lower, but that is just my forecast from speaking with current employees. And while I loved starting out at this job, even though the pay was way below the norm, my opinion of this company and how it runs quickly degraded into wondering why this company could possibly still be in business. It's not like there is ANY quality in the code. It's thrown together, on the cheap, from India. yet they charge $100/hour and pad their hours so they can make more money. It's completely unethical.

Pros

One of the things I like about Gate6 is the flexibility it offers in terms of schedule and location. Clients are great (for the most part) and every new project brings new learning and excitement. You are introduced to many different verticals and get to learn about them

Cons

Training is short, and mostly involves figuring things out yourself. You also need to learn to wear a lot of hats

Pros

Flexibility is the top attraction for Gate6. Telecommute, etc Chances to be exposed to different technologies and responsibility are high. Great place to gain experience The people here are really great.

Cons

If you don't like change, plan on being stressed a lot. Not all change is good change Offshore model consumes too much onshore time Incoming salaries are low as are increases making it difficult to attract / retain top talent
