Deceptive, failing toxic

Pros

Unlimited PTO and free food if you go into the office Remote Work option

Cons

CEO is confrontational and hasty with decisions. “Act now, apologize later.” Leadership is deceptive and favoritism is rampant. Zero diversity, and no intent to focus on it. Very few BIPOC or women in leadership. Benefits changed in 2021: deductibles and out of pocket premiums doubled. Instead of acknowledging this and employee dissatisfaction, they blamed the insurance market and covid. Comp is significantly lower than other tech sales jobs.

Pros

The snacks. That's literally it.

Cons

I had initially felt welcome here and was told I was doing a great job at my role so that seems like that should be enough to succeed, right? Wrong. I made the mistake of disclosing information regarding my personal struggle with depression/existential crisis with who I thought was a trusted co-worker and confidant and just days later I was terminated. Everyone working for this company is extremely fake-nice and I wish I had realized that from the beginning. At the end of the day, you are just a warm body in a chair, though I think they would prefer an unnattainable Chris Traeger level of optimism for one of the most boring products in the world. I mean who "lives and breathes customer support"? Gag me with a spoon. However, I'm so glad I left this toxic company because I got back on track and returned to my roots and am now performing truly meaningful work as a Social Services Program Worker at a non-profit organization that empowers adults living with mental health diagnoses, instead of making them feel like they're broken. I'm fortunate to say that I am actually happy in this new role of mine and truly feel that this work makes an impact.

Pros

Great place to work. Awesome environment. The products we sell actually help and we are impacting the independent insurance space in a positive way. Inbound / outbound leads. Great marketing team and our credibility / customer reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Lunch options are great and you get $10 subsidized lunch. Snacks in the kitchen are always stocked up.

Cons

The hybrid work environment is good, not great. Mainly because of the commute, many people live in different parts of town. The office is located by the beautiful 360 bridge and traffic can be tough sometimes because of construction, etc. That being said, 3 days in the office with great people is part of our secret sauce.
