Pros

Flexible schedule, can work up to 40 hours, and if you go over, you'll still get paid

Cons

-Tons of rules and guidelines that are hard to follow -They use Slack to announce important information, which gets lost in the shuffle because editors/writers are making dumb Marvel jokes in the same channel -Snarky editors that don't seem to have the time or patience to help writers grow -An impossible work pace. If you want GOOD writing, give your writers some time! Who can turn over lengthy articles with ZERO mistakes in 30-60 minutes? -Editors will blast you on the main Trello page for minor mistakes -You'll get one warning if you have too many revisions (and this is if you're relatively new) and the next step is being removed from the team.

Very unprofessional company

Pros

Some of the topics are fun to write about.

Cons

I worked there for three months on a variety of topics and thought I was doing well. Some of my articles were the most popular on the site and were made into videos. But a new editor came in and let me go without having the guts to tell me personally. I found out when I was removed from their Trello accounts. To top it all off, they took content from one story I had worked on (and never gotten paid for as they didn't publish it) and used it under somebody else's name without paying me.

Pros

get paid to write but other than that it was the worst gig i ever had lol

Cons

editors are snarky, not very good, writing is really bad. it's just any old content mill, but the editors are kind of rude and mean which is frustrating because it's not like they are very good content writers to begin with. pay is so low. i'm embarrassed to share my clips from here to new clients because the writing is so bad.
