-The majority are more concerned with impressing others rather than actually doing anything useful. While this is not uncommon elsewhere, it is magnified to epic proportions at Zenith. Superficial doesn't begin to describe the culture. -Office politics - backbiting, sniping and complaining are the norm. These reached almost comical levels at one point when half the company descended into a state of near-mutiny following an HR policy change. -Long and inflexible office hours. This despite management continuosly vaunting their 'agile working policy'. A policy that in fact has all the agility of a paraplegic in a straitjacket. -Thinking tends to be frowned upon -Business struggling financially, which it mostly blames on regulatory changes.

Staff are paid well below market value, and they use the company car as a way to justify this and convince you it's ok. No pay rises offered. No career progression available, although whilst they may offer you 'senior' positions within the team, the reality is that they just don't want to have to pay someone external to fill the role as they can get existing staff to do it cheaper, with no training provided. This results in lots of middle management who are very bad at their jobs. There is a bullying culture, it reminds me of being in the school playground and being 'judged' all the time. Big blame culture, unable to make mistakes and learn from them, you are just seen as rubbish at your job. Happy to fire people for minimal reasons, never quite feel secure in your role unless you're in the senior management clique.
