Amazing benefits. Freedom in your schedule.

Cons

Very in-bred organization. They want their own type of people and will push people unlike their supervisor out through assessments and unsubstantiated evaluations. Dangerous.

Disappointing In All Regards

Pros

Great area to do ministry and reach kids/families. Good benefits. Amazing location. Young Life's resources for staff are high-par. Kids in the area are fantastic!

Cons

Little to no support from committee. Constant neglect from Regional Director and regional trainers. Area is in deficit; information to which was intentionally withheld during the interview process. Reduced salary without prior notice. Ministry is run like a business. Little-to-no effective assistance from regional management, while expectation/demands for staff are both high and unrealistic.

Flexible work schedule, flexible time off, excellent training

Cons

HR is abysmal at applying due process to the transitions of its employees (firing, resignation, etc). I would not be surprised if YL is served one day with a wrongful termination lawsuit. Great mission and heart overall in the organization, terrible follow-through and adherence to HR standards that are common practice in any major company.
