The Expendables

Pros

Great place if you want the words chief, director or president in your title without having to climb the corporate ladder. Staff is young, supportive, exceptionally talented and good all around people to work with. You will be given a myriad of projects sure to challenge you.

Cons

Frustrating to anticipate, build and support products that exist outside any cogent product lifecycle model ie. there is none! Chasing the unqualified whims of prospective clients and investors will have you spinning your wheels and routinely abandoning half-completed projects.

This place is a joke of an organization

Pros

The people that work here are generally very nice and hardworking people.

Cons

This is by far one of the most disorganized organizations I had ever worked for and in my opinion this place wont last very long since they have approx ZERO customers. Upper management does everything they can to ensure that they collect a bonus at the end of the year while giving false promises to their employees. The company and CEO rave about the growth of the company "from 10 people to 100" or the possible 200 that they currently have; yet there is no mention that upwards of 80 of the employees are contractors that are paid the bare minimum on a job that is not permanent by any means. Both the CEO and "president" are extremely arrogant and unprofessional in their comments; whether these comments are political (yes- along the lines of "you can only work here if you believe XYZ") and just plain unprofessional. The mentality of the organization is buy or be bought, which is explained in very little details to the employees that are all between the ages of 20 and 25 and don't understand the concept of losing their job when "bought" because there is beer in the fridge at work and snacks in the kitchen. If you decide to work here be prepared to be on call 24/7. The offer letter states 60 hours a week and they mean it. There are no work phone, plan on using your own for work related calls and not being reimbursed. If you have to travel, plan on sharing a room with another co worker. Also plan on being screamed at and insulted if things don't go as planned. I actually remember just speaking with the HR person (casually; not a complaint) about how rude the CEO is and she replied "yeah, he makes me cry all of the time".

Not worth it

Pros

You'll have the chance to work on interesting projects and with very smart, nice people.

Cons

There is no vision here and you jump from project to project with little coordination. Lots of fire drills based on what the CEO wants. There is little to no process or communication.
