Mixed Feelings

Pros

Some of the people here are great to work with and for. A good base to develop a skill set/develope but comes with a limited timeframe (eg can only go so far) Has good company benefits from private healthcare through to socials. Awards/acknowledgement of work.

Cons

Too many cliques to work through If you're female you cannot progress over a set station (no female directors and limited (2) managers) HR doesn't have any impact on the company. Complaints, concerns or otherwise fall on deaf ears and are never resolved. No consequences for ill behaviour (from directors, managers or lower) Has a habit of hiring directors/managers but not anyone to do the work and those directors that are hired are unable to do their jobs. You may be expected to work overtime (in some cases during your holiday) but will not get this time back/paid or acknowledged for it. Awards (end of the year or monthly) is seen to be done as a "who do we need to keep happy" rather than on the work that is done.

Thank you for taking the time to review your employment with Warmup. We understand that we are in a transition period and while we do want to progress in terms of the size of the company, we also wish to maintain as much of the family feel as we can without causing a detrimental impact to the progression of the company. This is a difficult line to walk but we feel that we are managing it quite successfully. If you do have any suggestions please do let us know, we would appreciate your input.

Life at Warmup

Pros

Great family feel environment. Good career prospects for the right people. Flexible working is available where appropriate and benefits are good. Ambitious

Cons

CEO is too involved at every level, tying the directors hands and leaving them unable to make decisions. Managers aren't allowed to manage (more like supervisors). Priorities shift too often for people to be able to make an impact and decision making is painfully slow as the CEO makes all decisions. Reactive rather than pro active most of the time. Don't deal well with poor performers (not for lack of motivation to do so from the managers). Important announcements tend to be last minute. Lack of progression for females, only 1 in a senior position (the staff list is overwhelmingly male) Star people can be stretched too far, but not trusted enough and end up frustrated.
