Pros

Stability, holidays, health insurance, pension plan, benefits.

Cons

Zero mobility, good salaries but can’t match Geneva’s cost of living, boring, bureaucratic, impossible to innovate, lots of government people passing their work on to you and taking your merits, hypocritical directors who manage their feuds with old style, everybody complaining, nobody says hello. Young women watch for directors fishing for fresh meat. Bossy civil servants. Very oldish style. Informality and spontaneous behaviour are almost absent. No new projects, no excitment, no teamwork, no challenges. Old IT equipment.

The work culture is very accomodating and people are willing to share research information.
