      Great people, poor managment

      Pros

      Dog-friendly and fun office. Truly inspirational team and people.

      Cons

      Short-sighted vision when it comes to hiring and retention. When I was laid off, a large number of people approached me and told me how often they hire people, to only lay them off months later. In fact, it was shocking how many people surfaced to tell me similar stories after the lay off. It seems to be a consistent problem. Beware if you're leaving stable employment elsewhere.

      Aside from genuinely loving my immediate coworkers, nothing. I would give this company -346735465752 stars if I could.

      Cons

      Management preaches nonstop about teamwork and a sense a community, but does not follow through in creating a good, team-oriented environment for employees. Any time a concern was presented to management (poor scheduling, not being paid the correct amount of money, etc), employees were met with attitude and resistance. Management is horribly unorganized and overall just not nice people. Upper management hired new staff after the pandemic instead of bringing back the employees who worked so many long, hard hours opening the store and dealt with all the drama that came with it. Basically, management just doesn't care about their employees as people, but rather as lowly workers they can exploit and toss to the side.

      Thank you for your feedback. When we reopened in April, we rehired all original team members within the constraints of the state-mandated capacity levels and our budgetary forecasts. We employed nearly 100 employees pre-covid and were obviously unable to rehire each and every person due to the ongoing circumstances. As we continue to expand our team, we currently employ 89% of familiar faces that were also working with us pre-covid in March 2020, including promoting from within when it came to filling Supervisory roles. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm of those wanting to continue working with us after all this time and feel that is a perfect testament to our work environment. We've also made improvements such as implementing an online scheduling system to provide greater flexibility and convenience for our Carnies and continuing to pay above minimum wage. Teamwork is quite important to us, as you mentioned, and having employees genuinely support each other across all departments beyond their immediate team is essential to the success of that.

      Terrible Company and Terrible Management

      Very dog-friendly The junior members of staff are very nice for the most part

      Literally everything about the C-Suite and upper tier management is terrible. Unlikeable, bad managers who don't understand how to motivate their employees
