      Pros

      The goals of the company are clear and of potentially great value to the world. It is time that someone executes this and we are on a path to get it done. We are working with a lot of brilliant people from different parts of the world. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The vibe is exciting as we are transitioning from doing things creatively on a shoestring budget to doing things creatively with the necessary resources to do it right and with confidence. I have no complaints about my personal compensation. Advancement came within a reasonable time period . Company sponsorship of medical benefits has been extremely generous. The company has regular celebrations / opportunities for socializing including significant others. There are plenty of comforts - snacks and meals provided daily. There is company sponsorship to offset transportation costs. Have I mentioned working with great people on something that really matters?

      Cons

      Because we are on the bleeding edge of some technologies or integrations of technologies there is some bleeding and sometimes it doesn't come easily so you should desire a challenge. Some teammates are working extraordinary hours to get things done which I hope will settle down for their sake and so I can feel better about the fact that my availability is limited. Extraordinary hours is not intended to be part of our work culture.

      With the nearly doubling of team members in the past year, the extra long hours for some employees seems to have diminished significantly (if not stopped completely). We hope that you feel like our culture of a healthy work/life balance is being better represented!

      Cons

      Commute from SF could be easier but we'll be opening an office up north soon enough.

      Pros

      If you like working with extremely talented engineers, software developers, and biologists all in the same place, this is the company for you. Transcriptic has a fast-paced and intense startup culture. They offer extremely good perks on top of what you would expect (health/vision/dental): gym membership, a stipend for the computer/desk setup of your dreams, caltrain passes if you live in SF, and a seemingly endless supply of food all day every day.

      Cons

      Depending on your position work can be very consuming, but at the same time it's fun and you'll feel like you're contributing greatly to the success of the company.
