Used to be good, hired too many people that don't know what they are doing

Pros

Some of the people are great, good benefits, good time off

Cons

Toxic work environment, a lot of incompetency in management and HR, the Ford acquisition has de-railed their cohesion and sense of purpose. Terrible sense of financial health

Turbulence Ahead

Pros

Great customers (blue collar, hard working), flexible work environment, generous perks, competitive compensation for the area. Most employees are very bright and high achieving, who want work that genuinely makes a difference. Working in public transit, while at times frustrating, is incredibly rewarding. Our new CEO, Justin, seems to be a great guy, whose heart is in the right place.

Cons

While some reviews stated that the culture changes were a result of the JHC merger, I think the culture issues started when the company was given very ambitious growth targets by Ford in early 2019. The company was flooded with cash and was able to hire really talented and experienced people. Unfortunately, I do not think that the upper management was equally prepared. Constant pleas for transparency around an organization chart (there was none for about 6 months) or product strategy frequently fall on deaf ears. Leadership rarely takes accountability or provides thought leadership for both tactical or strategic initiatives. Most major process developments have come from the ground up. Lower-level contributors are frequently having strategic level debates that should happen at CEO/VP/Director level. Little engagement from leadership. The in-fighting and general toxicity of the place is draining (thank god for work from home days). It's turned really good, nice people into shells of themselves. All of this is to say that I think we'll shake out OK in the next 12 months, depending on your pain tolerance.
