Pros

...filling this site with fake positive reviews. It would be maddening if it wasn't so obvious and sad. It's certainly not helping with the lack of trust issues that define the culture here.

Cons

The executives can't get out of their own way. Employees are micromanaged to death, and the mood in the office reflects it. They preach an open and transparent environment, but the second you ask an uncomfortable question or point out an elephant in the room, you're quietly marked for dismissal. I've seen extremely talented people get pushed out of their roles simply because they offered a dissenting opinion, based in experience and fact, that didn't fit with management's "vision".

I want to thank you for taking the time to add your review, and I'm sorry that it has not been a positive experience for you at TraceLink. Glassdoor has a rigorous content review process to screen out false reviews. It's unfortunate that you chose to make an accusation about the HR team, since we are proud of our high standard of integrity and honesty. If you have questions or concerns, please stop by as my "door" is always open, or speak with anyone else on the HR team. Regarding your feedback, there is always room for improvement at any Company -- and TraceLink is no exception. It's important to hold a mirror up to ourselves and be mindful of our words and actions, and how this may be perceived by others. While we are not aware of the issues you described, we'd appreciate it you spoke with your manager or HR about your experiences, so we could troubleshoot effectively. However, I respect that you may not feel comfortable doing so and, again, am sorry that you have not had a great experience.

Disappointing, negative experience. Be cautious

Pros

The company is the industry leader in their current space with very few competitors. If they play their cards right and can manage to retain some talent, the company is positioned for financial success and continued growth. Approachable CEO who seemed sincere and passionate. The free lunches were very nice.

Cons

The day to day vibe in the North Reading offices was incredibly negative. Zero work/life balance flowing downhill from senior leadership and founders who conducted themselves more like drill sergeants versus acting like true leaders with a clear vision and sharing clear direction which is what leadership is all about. Not a progressive culture here. Limited perks, no flexibility, no unique programs, nonexistent incentives. Most of the C Level team demonstrated their inability to articulate detailed objectives and instead let the burden fall blindly on their teams but then find fault with performance due to their lack of direction in the first place and ultimately placing blame on their subordinates. this was common complaint and seemed widespread. Sales operated like a boot camp and ruled mostly by intimidation versus applying motivational tactics. A very backwards, un-evolved mentality to treat people this way if you want to retain employees and be successful as a whole. Marketing team was often very unapproachable and managed by some arrogant individuals which made it difficult to request assistance and information often needed. Human Resource team fell apart recently and left which was unforuntate. The office environment was anemic and uncomfortable feeling. The worst part was that no one seemed to smile or thought to offer a simple hello or good morning. A very awkward and heads down and cold environment filled with individuals who lack luster and life. Do not expect a pleasant place to walk in to each day, at least not at the present time.
