Nice atmosphere, incompetent managers and unrealistic expectations
Pros
Great atmosphere within the office with a variety of nationalities and a lot of Irish too. Able to get discounts for stays in hotels etc. which is a great perk
Cons
Some managers really don't know how to mange people and should be offered some training. They may be good at their role, but that doesn't make them good managers. There are some unrealistic expectations placed on most people within the company. It can be difficult to reach targets and 'make money' in this space. Strategic planning from team leaders, who have received adequate training would help alleviate this issue. Support in your role may be seen as available but is not in reality. During my time with the company, I was 'offered' support by word frequently if I needed it. When I actually needed it, I was left high and dry. Blame was also placed on me for not over-achieving when in reality, the lack of support on my first big task was the issue. My colleagues completely agreed with me on this also, as did one of the other managers in the office.
