Pros

Great if you like to be browbeaten daily by the untouchable, fairy headmaster for no reason!

Cons

Good if you like senior management micromanaging you, scrutinizing you then setting you up for failure then making up minor job deficiencies to insinuate that you don't do your job properly to the point that the stress is unbearable and then you are force to quit as an outcome because the union is in bed with the management!

Good vacation; great co-workers. Time off at Christmas. Quick commute to work.

Cons

Lack of transparency, favouritism, lack of advancement opportunities, no appreciation shown to staff, top down, command and control leadership, TRU even uses parking fees to fund salaries - which they proudly admit to! TRU recently did an employee engagement survey - very high participation levels, but no results have been released, despite assurances information would be widely shared. very telling.

If in the right department, it is very flexible, laid back and easy going. Good benefits and week off in the winter. Really depends where you are working.

Cons

If in the wrong department (Enrolment Services) no flexibility (scheduled breaks) constant turnover and unhappy coworkers. Faculty can be hard to work with and
