Pros

- The best thing about this job was being able to work with a group of great minds. Everyone is supportive and easygoing. - Fully stocked pantry. - Relaxed office environment.

Cons

- Lack of clarity from the top makes it hard for the team to plan or execute. - Hostile working environment created by the management by threatening staff to be friends with him. - Management not owning up to their mistakes and blaming staff for being not respectful. - Both CEO and CDO demonstrated actions/ use of language that could be potentially be considered sexism and racism towards people of color. - Claim to be open to new ideas and opinions. Feedbacks are often considered disrespectful to the boss especially when they come from female staff. - Constant tantrums. - No career prospects. - Poor medical benefits.

Friendly, helpful, easygoing colleagues to learn from Relaxed office environment 60-70% of the time Free snacks coffee and beer. New building

Cons

Management demands unconditional respect but never owns up to mistakes and uses “we’re a startup” as excuse when screws up Blames and badmouths former employees who left on their own Lowkey sexist boomers refusing to admit shortcomings (and trust me there were many, especially from CDO)

- Friendly colleagues and a well-furnished office - Opportunities for selected few to attend overseas business trips, industry events, to meet interesting jewelry brands and partners - Convenient office location near MTR - Ambitious market expansion plan

Cons

- Management may use unreasonable excuses to scold/boycott staff, such as penalizing those who have taken sick leave or don't 'OT hard enough.' - Management demonstrates a lack of knowledge for the jewelry industry and merchandising process - Demand constant attention and availability from staff, even outside of regular working hours - Management refuses to take responsibility for their own mistakes and instead frequently shifts blame to staff - Despite hiring capable individuals, management disregards team member feedback, with decisions being made based on ego rather than sound business strategy - Management sometimes harass staff in front of colleagues, creating a hostile work environment - Management frequently uses the company's "startup" status as justification for toxic behavior and unreasonable requests - Favoritism is prevalent among staff, with select individuals being granted more opportunities while more junior or 'local' staff are overlooked, leading to a lack of career growth - Company culture is characterized by micromanagement and an emphasis on overtime rather than results-oriented performance - Claims to be a 'flat organization' when convenient; in fact operates in old-fashioned hierarchy Think twice before joining, as it might be challenging to return to the real world and industry after
