Pros
Inexpensive benefits Some great colleagues Emphasis on remote work
Cons
This company is held together by duct tape. I’m not sure how or why they’re introducing new products when the ones they’ve been administering for over 20 years still need so much work. During my time at TDC, at any given time each person on my team was working to resolve multiple major issues that would have never occurred at a company with better infrastructure and management. The account management team is overworked, micromanaged, and underpaid for the amount they do. Running 3-4 one to two hour meetings per day then being expected to answer 100 emails is not sustainable. The department isn’t even treated as account management - they’re seen as an extension of the sales department, and salaries have are a laughable base with commission on top. There are no opportunities for professional development, and minimal opportunities for advancement within the company. When someone is actually promoted or moves on (smart), instead of hiring someone new to fill the gap in the team, they just redistribute their work to the rest of the account managers. After 3 people left the team, you can imagine what the workload was like. Overall, I regret working for this company due to their toxic environment and negative impact on my mental health. When applying to companies in the future, I’m more likely to claim a gap in my employment history than include the Difference Card on my resume.
