Pros

Benefits. Possibly. Few nice people.

Cons

High school mentality all around. Favoritism to certain people based on their sexual preference. I don’t care if you like the same sex. More power to you but I have an issue with this. It is still sexual discrimination. Also, veryone's willingness to through anyone under the bus. Even so-called "friends" Managers and higher up with no experience or even degrees in their field at Talley. I could go on and on but if you're currently working there you know how it is. If you are planning to work there- and want to stay prepare to be as fake as you can be and then some and get your chapstik and lips ready for the butt kissing war of your lifetime. If one does not know the word nepotism and what the "Peter Principle" is you'll learn it here. I'll also save you time and leave there definitions here. Because I know if you speak more than four syllables here a majority of the people here won't know what you're talking about. Even "Management" Go figure! Nepotism. "The practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs." Here you have children of others who joined Talley at startup and are basically untouchable. They got in because of their family and know it. They do not do work or treat lower co-workers like dirt. A certain person awhile back hired her GF. No conflict of interest here. Nope. Until she left. The Peter principle- "Is a concept in management theory formulated by "Laurence J. Peter" (Not a person who works here Glassdoor)in which the selection of a candidate for a position is based on the candidate's performance in their current role, rather than on abilities relevant to the intended role. Thus, employees only stop being promoted once they can no longer perform effectively, and "managers rise to the level of their incompetence." If you are here you know what this is about. Hahaha! "Hey! Have a degree as a Physical Education?! You can be manager of this department! Art Major??! You’re now the manager of this dept!! HR is not your friend. They are looking out for the well-being of the company. Not you. Actually ask marketing questions and Google is their best friend. People stay in these positions because at a real company they wouldn't last as long as here because of Nepotism and The Peter Principal. Also the hypocrisy is far off the charts here. So-called religious people cheating on the spouses or doing less severe things against their religion. I don’t care if you do less severe things but do not go throughout the company and make yourself seem like you are when in fact you are not and using company money to do things your religion forbids. Credit card bills? The big goal was a waste of time. Others who have been here long but mentally checked out and have seniority and are just cruising until retirement. No one cares about you. They just want to use you to make themselves look better and will take your credit even though a majority of them just do the bare minimum and gossip. ALL DAY, thus you have to do your share and theirs. They’ll get a raise. Will you? Nope! Do not believe the 5 star reviews below. They were written by other departments to cover themselves when they found out about the Grinder review awhile back. I’m sure this will get a few other fake reviews as well. If you need a job. Work here for a while until you find something better because you'll get paid better elsewhere, or if you have no aspirations for yourself and want to kiss arse and float by- by all means work here as long as you can fake it.

Pros

Stable company that has loyal customers due to their time in business

Cons

Family owned business with a lot of politics. They have managers that should have never been managers and people always trying to back stab and throw others under the bus. Not at all consistent with employees and tons of favoritism.

Talley, Inc. is a family owned business who prides itself in promoting a family oriented culture to both it's employees and customers. Talley has served the Wireless Industry for 30+ years and during that time has proven to be the Premier Wireless Distributor in the U.S.. Talley is very selective when hiring it's staff. Talley hires employees that closely fit the unique culture. Talley recently launched a program called "The Big Goal" which is designed to promote togetherness and unity as a company. This program eliminates favoritism and allows all employees to contribute to Talley's success. This also includes working together as a team to hold each other accountable. As part of The Big Goal, Talley has also designed and created a system to closely monitor all staff daily with regards to internet access. This allows for the Big Goal Program to effectively measure where change is needed. Although we are very supportive of all our staff conducting their own personal research as needed, we have strategically placed parameters on our employees' computer access to protect any risk and/or liability from outside social media websites. With that said, Talley strives to serve the Wireless Industry for another 30+ years. In order to achieve this milestone, Talley must continue to provide a positive and safe working environment for it's employees and customers. Together Everyone Achieves More....

Pros

Too laid back if you like that sort of thing? If you don’t like to work, you’ll love this warehouse!

Cons

Pay is a con, asked to do more for less. Lazy employees get bailed out by the sweat of others & are not compensated for it & will likely get a raise for doing a job a 12 year old could do over an employee who truthfully puts there heart & soul into doing something that makes a difference. Plenty of favoritism, you need to be good at procrastinating to be successful here.
