Dear Anonymous,
We always appreciate hearing our employees’ feedback, so we thank you for sharing. We will address what your concerns and thoughts were, while you were with us.
We too enjoy the bonding that we have with our co-workers. It makes the work more meaningful and allows us to work better as a team, supporting each other and making sure our bases are covered.
You are correct, upper management does come in a little later every once in a while. When you leave at 5pm every day, what you don’t see is upper management putting in 10- and 12-hour days, sometimes 16-hour days. Of course, you receive emails from upper management at all hours of the night and throughout the weekend, so you can see they are almost always engaged. Sometimes it’s hard to see the difference between hourly employment, and exempt, upper management employees. We could explain that to people to help avoid this perceived double-standard.
We are sorry you didn’t feel helped while you worked here. We wish you would have come to us and let us know that. We feel like we help people by the numerous meetings we have, over several months’ time, trying to help people get better at performing their job, when they are not meeting standards, and forgetting what tasks have been assigned to them, to remind them. Sometimes unfortunately, people still don’t perform, and we are stuck with the terrible decision to keep a non-performing employee, or trying to find someone who can fill the position better. When these situations come up, it is never an easy decision and we spend a lot of time trying to help the current employee succeed.
We aren’t sure what you mean about yelling and tantrums. Our organization is built on professionalism, and we would never tolerate those types of behavior.
We’re sorry things didn’t work out with you and Table Bay Financial; we wish you nothing but great success in your future endeavors.
