Thank you so much for leaving this 🦄 review - it not only makes us feel good, but it helps people searching for new roles see what working at Synergy Learning might be like. I hear what you are saying about remote working - we all need to make sure we stay connected through funteam, donut, and all the other channels - particularly taking time out with a cuppa for a chat. Make sure you make the most of the fantastic new Hub in Belfast - it's there to be used and enjoyed and a great way for meeting colleagues. Hope you can attend the upcoming All Hands - its going to be a pretty special day!!!

Pros

Genuinely lovely, competent people across various teams. Respected partner, both by Moodle/Totara and the L&D industry. Good history of successful projects. Organised & structured

Cons

It's been a while since I left so I've had time to consider the experience, and not react emotionally. So aside from the good things, I unfortunately also experienced the age old cliches: micro-management, bullying etc...In order to manage complex SaaS deals, you need a nuanced and skilled process - rather than this blunt approach. If the role needs you to recruit experienced and skilled SaaS professionals, then you should also pay attention to them and what they need to build pipeline and close deals. Also, I believe HR should not have any conflicts otherwise it's extremely difficult for anyone to address issues or make improvements.

Thank you for taking the time to post this retrospective review. We seek feedback in many ways at Synergy Learning and take an action-based response, wherever appropriate. In any organisation if an employment relationship turns sour, there are always at least 2 sides to the story, and differing perspectives of events. That said, we take your feedback on the chin, will continue with our programme of review & continuous improvement, and move forward with confidence and positivity. We sincerely hope you can do the same and wish you nothing but success and happiness for the future.

We are so sorry to learn that your experience working here was less than 100% positive. As you know we give all employees an opportunity to express their ideas and suggestions through open feedback channels, through the performance management channel and through twice yearly eNPS. On leaving, everyone is given the opportunity to make constructive criticisms via EXIT interview. I don't recall comments like these coming up at any time in the last couple of years, so I'm sorry you didn't feel empowered to express them to colleagues directly while you were still an employee. Of course we will take this review on the chin - while our current Employee Net Promoter score is an outstanding +42, of course there are always some people who don't feel aligned with company vision and values and are happier elsewhere. We wish you every success wherever you are working now.
