      Pros

      Was initially a great place to work when operated as Newbay with the "Newbay Culture"

      Cons

      US buyout. Dictatorial US Leadership. Poor Leaders who have been eventually found out in recent times with their potential delisting from NASDAQ. US Managers more focused on promoting and keeping people they liked as opposed to those with talent and honesty.

      you get to see with some good new technologies like hadoop, cassandra, chef.

      Cons

      the infrastructure is very chaotic and outdated, they have a lot of dead technologies that they are trying to kill. They just started with automation so certain environments are still maintained manually. Everything happens very slowly, they dont have root ssh access because ldap is not properly synced with Active Directory and the spin of virtual machines happens through libvirt+cobbler+kickstart with an awful lot of manual steps and no live migration.

      Great team, some very smart Developers, QA and Architects. Central office space in Dublin.

      Cons

      If you're a friend of the boss you'll get your promotion, whether you're competent or not. Too many "Technical Leaders" have no technical background or experience.
