(1) Friendly people - managers, families, and students
(2) Flexible hours - make your own schedule
(3) Good evaluation system
(4) Good tutor training system
(5) Frequent raises
(6) Tutors are employees - not independent contractors
(7) Great support from program managers
Cons
(1) Tutors don't get paid for lesson notes or prep time.
(2) Tutors don't get paid for driving time.
Great students, awesome program directors really attentive and helpful. Training and workbooks are extremely helpful glad to have such a great model to work with.
Cons
Driving often 30 minutes from your home, the mileage and wear and tear on your car isn't always worth it. There is a lot of preparation for tutoring that is unpaid, tutors have to be ready for each tutoring session by reviewing homework and other tasks that are unpaid.
