Pros

You get to work from home and avoid the insincerity and duplicity of your cliquey coworkers.

Cons

Where to start? I'm simply writing this review to keep Stream honest. Too many short yet positive reviews popping up suspiciously after a negative (realistic and honest) review appears. Pay is atrocious. Good luck dealing with life's challenges when Stream won't even be competitive with their salaries. They treat it as the honor of working for such an "innovate" and "great" company makes up for 25-30% less pay than what you'd normally get at a less pompous organization. What's most sickening is the recent "restructuring," or as I've been referring to it, mass layoffs. So many people who built Stream to what it is today were just tossed like they were nothing. And for what? To literally waste time (finding replacements) and money (paying multiple salaries to cover for replacing a tenured employee). And a real ballsy move, getting your still-employed team members to post about hiring on LinkedIn. Wow, read the room, Stream. No one works here. They just take LinkedIn Learning courses because that's the only "growth" that they'll see. I'll keep an open mind, but right now, it feels like we're on a sinking ship.

Pros

Working from home during COVID 401k after 180 days Unlimited PTO after 4 years

Cons

Cons of working at Stream: working at Stream It is August and we are still on a 40% reduction in salary and all bonus held since April. We have been in a reduction of pay since April 1st with no communication of when our salary will be back, or when we will be back-paid. We get random updates from the CEO, from his BEACH HOUSE, that we will get 'more in our pay' the next paycheck, but no specific amount, nor any timeline that we can count on. Unless you are living at home with your parents, on your parents insurance, you are living in incredible anxiety of 'maybe' we will get our pay back this next paycheck and have no way to plan of what will actually come as we never know.

Stream Companies Response

Thank you for taking the time to review Stream. COVID-19 has been the most challenging thing that we have ever had to face as an company. Although it was certainly stressful and unprecedented, we made the decision to do what was necessary as an organization to face this challenge together, and not have to incur mass layoffs. Although making the decision to have across the board pay cuts was difficult, it was something that we all endured together. Since I can only assume you are still with Stream, can we ask you please take the time to reply that you have been paid back in full and that your full salary has been reinstated? We were very happy to be able to do this prior to the new year. We'd also like to reiterate that our actions to reduce pay were in a successful effort to leave no one behind due to drastic client budget cuts due to COVID.
