Pros

I am trauma-bonded for life with my colleagues and my direct managers. I learnt a lot, but mostly due to how badly we were treated.

Cons

It's hard to adequately explain the number of cons and failures in this business. Like most people, I read the bad reviews that litter the Glassdoor pages of Storm4, Storm2, Storm3, Storm6, and Levin Group. I knew it wasn’t going to be sunshine and rainbows, but hey, that’s recruitment. It’s long hours, high pressure, but high reward (ha!!). Despite what they tell you, the commission structure is poor compared to any other agency I’ve spoken to. And the base salary? An absolute joke, impossible to live on in any of the cities where this company is based. You will struggle to make ends meet, and combined with the destruction of your social life, you will find yourself lacking in all aspects. Their policy of not paying commission until a placement has passed probation is not standard; other companies handle this differently. Honestly, though, none of this compares to how they handled the closing of their European branches. But honestly, witnessing how they treat people, I really should not have been surprised. During my time there, I witnessed how they failed to treat their employees like humans. They hired naive graduates eager for jobs and then either fired them or pushed them out when they no longer needed them. Reckless hiring and inhumane firing are how this company operates. Both the Amsterdam and Hamburg offices were closed abruptly, and the owners who made these decisions didn’t even have the decency to do it themselves. Instead, the managers in these offices had to break the news to their employees: "It’s over—sorry, goodbye, good luck—severance? No, sorry." To those who remain in London and New York: we have not been looked after, we haven’t been given severance, and we are being ignored. It's important for you to know how the people at the top of this business view us --> disposable and entirely irrelevant.

Pros

Great location, trauma bonding with your collegues basically. That’s all.

Cons

One of the most toxic, non-transparent cultures, higher ups gossiping behind your back, false advertised during the interview stage so BEWARE. Favouritism, basically read every negative review here, it’s all true. They sell you this dream but trust me it’s not true unless you like being stepped on and devalued as a human daily

Pros

great colleagues - trauma bonding makes nice relationships

Cons

honestly, even if there some huge red flags in the beginning, I thought that there were some room to make things better and good intentions... a bit more than after a year in the company I realise that was naive of me Let's stick to facts: - people are leaving DAILY because of how toxic the culture is, there is now only "fresh blood" left in the company cause they haven't yet realised how bad it is - all the pressure to keep the company running is on the consultants who get paid like shit (they now even take money on each commission, pretending that they use to pay more business trips), the managers get huge unnecessary pay, they just micromanage and tell you to do stuff that they could not even do cause they don't have the skills - we are far from leading by example - you will get fired super easily or actually they don't even do that cause it cost too much, they'll just pressure you to leave if you don't reach targets, without giving proper support to reach them. You will leave without your remaining commission of course, that they'll keep - no work life balance and pressure to work during weekends and holidays - you would get praised for it, if they even let you take your holiday days - toxic and mental game: you are not allowed to cry in front of colleagues (you have to go in a meeting room), if you speak up or complain they will shut your mouth with subtle threats - they promote people that work super hard just to make them stay but then they don't give them the related pay raise, which is basically illegal - there is basically no sales processes in place, its figure it out or leave, walk or die. - they hire graduates cause those cannot compare the environment to other companies and are easily manipulated in the end, i still think a few people there have good intention but unfortunately the company is rotten to its core and i'm not sure it can be saved
