The company is trying to build something very big, but in a fundamental way. No investors, debt-free, and tight financial management keeps the business healthy. There's no chase for investor money like other startups - there's a true focus on growing a sustainable business.
Career growth potential is unlimited here, but it is very much self-driven. Employee development guidance is getting better, but has a long way to go. Recognition/reward often doesn't occur until there's 1+ year of strong performance and loyalty. 1 year here is like 2-3 years of experience anywhere else.
Work-life balance is taken very seriously. Many employees and executives have families and understand that working at a startup shouldn't ruin your life.
