Good job, if you're into it

Pros

Fun environment when you don't know too much about every one. Team nights are fun. Young happy people on the surface. Encourage each other.

Cons

Strictly commission. Door to door sales. If you're like me, you won't know everything about everyone. No one respects the manager. And the manager has tantrums like a child. Favoritism is very prevalent. If they dont like you, you won't last. Very biased people. All very young and act off of emotion. Pretends to all be friends but really dislike each other.

Reviewer, We're sorry to see this feedback, as it's clear we did not part on good terms. Thank you for your compliment regarding our work environment and team. We, too, think they are exceptional. Your cons about it being strictly commission and sales seem to be irrelevant. Everyone in our company accepts their position with an understanding of pay and job responsibilities. This was a role that was accepted, not forced upon you. A lot of successful people in business praise sales and commission as a stepping stone for their career and entrepreneurship. In fact, we think everyone should try sales at least once in their lifetime. The majority of your comments sound emotionally charged, which is a trait you condone in your old coworkers. All in all, your review is conflicting and we are most sorry to know you parted without us having made a better impression. Best of luck as you move forward in your career. Sincerely, Human Resources Dept.

Pros

At its core, it's a sales job: fully commission based so if you are good at sales then you should make money pretty easily. They also hire anyone so long as you aren't too old, and not too smart.

Cons

-No work life balance: they require long hours from you, up to 14 hours of your day, six days a week, dedicated to them on and off the clock. You will have no time for anything else. "If you're on time, you're late. If you're early, you're on time." -Toxic work environment: on the surface, they force everyone to put up the facade that everyone is always happy and loving their job. Any deviation from this norm gets you peer policed, as everyone will report on your every action and behavior. -No benefits or compensation until 90 days, and you will have a private discussion about it with your branch owner. They talk about "satellite trips" and paid vacation for people who can earn it, but those are worthless. The satellite trips are not covered besides gas money if you drove and a hotel room you will be sharing with multiple other people. The system is not designed for you to succeed, it's designed to squeeze out as much as possible from you before replacing you.

Reviewer, We are sorry to see this feedback, as it is clear we did not part on good terms. Sales are foundational and integral to succeeding in a sales management position. While anyone can be successful at sales with the right attitude and willingness to learn, it doesn't mean our hiring protocol is lax. With hundreds of resumes received per week, we find ourselves rather particular. Our Management Training Program is not 9-5, and neither are the most entrepreneurial driven positions or companies. We're not looking to provide our team with a 40 hour a week "job" but instead the necessary skill set to run a business. We work hard for our clients and are the first to admit that, but 14 hour days is an exaggeration. No benefits for 90 days is accurate, but individuals are compensated from day 1 of working with South Matrix. Pay should always be a private matter, as each person's compensation is unique. All in all, it's apparent we did not do a great job with your onboarding & offboarding. Though sales are not a good fit for some, we hope that the cons stop there because of the positive impression we made. We are sorry to have failed you and welcome any further feedback emailed to hr@southmatrixbatonrouge.com. We hope wherever work takes you next, that you are challenged and satisfied. Best of luck in your future endeavors! Sincerely, South Matrix Management Team

Hey, Reviewer. We appreciate the pro you listed, as experience/skills in face-to-face sales is extremely helpful when looking to grow into leadership/management positions. We talk about 3 major opportunities in our business: travel, development, and financial freedom, so if there was one in particular that offended you, we welcome you to email our company with clear, tangible feedback. "Stop" and "they straight up lie to you" does little to help us develop and improve as a business. Thanks and take care. Sincerely, South Matrix Management Team
