Not as good as it seems, with many underlying red flags
Pros
Colleagues & team leads are good No office politics, because your office will be your home mostly If you are in Ahmedabad, visiting office and meeting people once in a while is great. Working in mac, but depending on client, mostly you will have to work in a windows365 Weekends are off, rarely had to work because of release, but company won't encourage that if they have an opinion on it. Team lead won't throw you under the bus. At least my Team lead.
Cons
Flexible timing mostly means working late till 9 PM or later due to client calls. Since it's a remote setup, you’re expected to have your laptop with you at all times. Sometimes we had client calls at midnight(not exaggerating) The compensation is significantly below industry standards. During the hiring process, the company will negotiate aggressively to underpay you. The Appraisal will be minimal regardless of your effort or performance.(avg 10% after 1 year of service) Working from home, with the possibility of meeting colleagues just once a year (or perhaps not even that), can become monotonous/boring for some people over time. Not applicable to Amdavadis. It’s common to see employees leaving before completing even a year with the company. Guess they find better opportunities outside easily. Work/tasks is not evenly distributed, you might have to work more if you are good at it(lol), but can vary with different project There wont be annual bonus unless you ask for it in the initial discussions, Appraisal also will be very minimal.Other beneficial compensations are absent. Recognition is polarised, people who pretends to work are recognised more than hardworking people, (might vary depending upon projects & managers, but in a way, that clearly shows upper management have poor assessment on each employees)
