Pros

If you secure a position at Smartt, it's crucial to understand that it operates within a fast-paced environment where every minute holds value for you, the business, and your clients. Preparedness to defend your work is essential. What I appreciated most during my tenure at Smartt was the robust teamwork. There's always a supportive team to delegate tasks to when overwhelmed, experts to consult when facing roadblocks and trust in their advice when troubleshooting issues. The team stands together; there's no blame game. At Smartt, a lone wolf mentality isn't conducive. Accountability for your work is pivotal, necessitating the willingness to ask questions, engage in training, and learn from colleagues. Individualism isn't favoured here. Furthermore, you, as an employee, are highly valued. Should you require any accommodations for personal matters like medical appointments or passport renewals, the company is accommodating and supportive. The team stands in solidarity with you. Notably, Smartt encourages an open platform for suggestions and improvements. Irrespective of your tenure, your ideas hold weight, and the company is receptive and proactive in implementing them. In addition to fostering a collaborative environment, it's worth noting that Smartt goes above and beyond industry standards in valuing its employees. In specific cases, the company offers compensation packages that surpass the market average by up to 20%. This commitment to recognizing and rewarding talent underscores their dedication to cultivating a motivated and satisfied workforce.

Cons

Within the company, there exist abundant growth opportunities; however, seizing them demands a dedicated personal investment of time and effort. While these prospects for advancement are available, it's crucial to note that without proficient time management skills, meeting the goals set within this environment can present substantial challenges. Effectively managing one's time is pivotal to realizing and capitalizing on the potential for growth within the organization.

Hi Anonymous, Thanks for leaving a review and sharing your thoughts. To address your PRO & CON: 1) Bonuses: Your assertion that there are no bonuses is incorrect. There are bonuses but in order for them to be active and team members to benefit from them, baseline targets need to be exceeded (which you'll probably agree is a necessary and common business practice). I'd say on balance of probability you didn't meet your targets. 2) Integrity: Stating that a person (or a group of people) have no integrity is quite the statement and accusation. If you had raised such an opinion while you were a team member and it was not addressed, then that is 100% my responsibility. If, however, you did not, then you should look at your own thinking, actions and results you created as the root cause. Integrity doesn't exist in a vacuum, it is borne from interactions between people and between people is where it is practiced, strengthened and flourishes or withers. We have, as a company, implemented systems and built a culture that promotes transparent communication so that integrity can flourish. As you know, we have a monthly anonymous feedback survey where team members are asked questions and can answer them in as much or as little detail as they like. Had you taken the opportunity to raise any concerns that lead you to think the leadership team is "in chaos" or has "no integrity" it would have been addressed (as we addressed many other comparably very minor concerns team members had). If the survey was not the right place, then you could have used the countless other opportunities from open door sessions, casual team events, weekly team lunches or even by scheduling a private 1:1 confidential conversation. At the end of the day, we're human and depend on communication. If you don't communicate, we (and you) can't improve.

Pros

Exposure on wide range of services, they care/support your personal development and well-being, especially with implementing WFH and easily granting team members a day-off due to personal issues (they also provide us free lunch once a week!)

Cons

Job security as IT business getting rough, which results in quick turnover of employees and mass layoff.
