Pros

There is always a lot to do, and a lot of ways to learn. There are many smart people there, so learning there is much opportunity to learn from others. There are sometimes really interesting projects.

Cons

Nonstop gaslighting. If you have an opinion that goes against the grain in any way - keep it to yourself. You will be gaslight and told you need to grow. Women and minority groups are not promoted at the same rate as white males, particularly in leadership. You will be asked to work about 5 full time jobs at a time, but told it's a growth opportunity any time you speak up with concerns. You run the risk of getting stuck on a project you don't like for long periods of time. Rampant mainsplaining from leadership, under the guide of mentorship.

Pros

Some of my coworkers were really nice.

Cons

Incredibly misleading about diversity and inclusion. There's a lot of effort talking about how great they are at diversity and inclusion, and unfortunately not enough action. It breaks my heart- many will come to Slalom thinking "it will be different this time" and then suffer career damage. This is the worst and most political place I've ever worked. I've mentored many other women in this organization who have had similar experiences. I have a disability and asked HR multiple times to discuss a reasonable accomodation to no avail. I'm really concerned that Slalom does not take this seriously- we're in a pandemic and it's a very trying time for everyone not to mention those with a disability. Impossible to succeed in my capability if you're not a white guy and also in the boys club. Not every man makes it into the boys club. Some of my favorite people left rather unexpectedly- I suspect Slalom was trying to mask layoffs as "performance" issues. There was a high rate of voluntary minority attrition in my department. The senior leaders in my specialty area are really horrible at sales and have limited experience in this specialty, so they tend to frequently over promise and poorly estimate. This means long, long hours for workers or sometimes trying to build something that isn't possible.
