Pros

It was a cool Montclair office, great perks. Chill people are working here. They give you a new computer and whatever other hardware/software you need to feel comfortable, and their office is always clean and temperate. They're probably still regarded as a startup, so they still burn through cash to get all the high-tech gadgets and stuff. Pretty thorough management tool they have as well.

Cons

Office politics were strange, unclear about what they want from you, will ditch you for "not performing" without giving concrete evidence. When I was hired, everything seemed great. A cool office space, and a team that I thought wanted to foster the growth of their employees. However, things went sour quickly. It was clear that I had fallen out of favor with senior management, when instead of talking to me, they began to ignore me and treat me as if I were not in the office. Then, I was made aware that my manager was literally tracking my activities throughout the day, right up to when I would use the bathroom. After barely 3 months of working here while still getting my bearings, I was fired for no other reason other than "production," a week after I was put on an actual solid plan and was hitting the numbers inside that plan. I didn't even get any concrete numbers to show that I was grossly underperforming or anything. I was just told I wasn't "doing enough." Others working for that company now will undoubtedly view me as an outlier, and I very well may be. However, that fact doesn't marginalise my experience with the early iteration of SiteTraker. They should be ashamed for how they handled this employee.

Pros

This is truly a great company with a great product. A good culture. Tons of perks like food and paid meals.

Cons

There is a trend of new SDR(all men) lasting only 3 months or less. Once you are there for a little bit, you can see why turnover is so high. 2 weeks prior to my departure I was killing it. Then I could do nothing right. Every move I made was documented. I hated coming to work and felt like I was under constant attack. The pay is low per industry averages with a lot more work expected than most places. Long hours at home to catch up and short lunches/no breaks was the normal. I was let go for no reason than it wasn't a "good fit." Avoid working as an SDR like the plague. They do treat other departments very well and they all seem super happy.

Pros

- Team Structure, sprints, tickets, and overall execution from an engineering perspective are good. - Product is decent. (Heavily relies on Salesforce though) - Some people are nice and genuine. - If you are lucky you will get in a good team

Cons

Where do I start - sigh ..... - I find it hard to believe that it's a startup sometimes. - Managers treat employees like slaves. They don't care about anyone - Employees who suck up to the bosses are given promotions. Also, the promotions happen behind closed doors and no one knows why someone gets promoted. Usually, the least talented ones go up, and the honest/talented ones either quit or are threatened by the big boys. - Politics is always at the forefront. All the favorite boys/girls of the engineering leader and CTO are having a blast there. The favorites do the least work but are most recognized in the company. Nepotism is in the veins of the company. Esp engineering group! Save yourself don't go to the place where it's impossible to grow the right way! Sitetracker is one of the stingiest companies out there. They won't spend a dime on you unless absolutely needed. There is unlimited PTO but you don't see that happening if you are a normal employee. It is just lucrative on paper. No work-life balance TBH. Lastly, the pay sucks, and all their HR processes too.
