The company is very poorly managed and was the entirety of my employment. The salary was well below industry standard for the role, even at an entry level position. The company puts very little resources into the editing team, taking away editing spaces so they can have a podcast studio and then positioning the editors right next to the kitchen making it very difficult to work during a lot of the day. They make decisions about the editing team without even considering the needs of editors. They want editors in the office, but don't provide adequate space or resources for editors. Often times there was a lack of equipment. Then management gets pissy when your not in the office. Towards the end of my employment they started wanting to implement AI video which is a huge red flag. Overall Shootsta was a terrible place to work. There were good people there, but the company is struggling to stay afloat in the current climate with management and a board who make all the wrong decisions. Can't recommend working at the company.
