I worked at Shaw Academy full-time

    Pros

My coworkers were the only enjoyable part of this job, and I meet some awesome people.

    Cons

Shaw Academy is a high stress environment that leaves you exhausted. I was burnout due to ridiculous hours and unrealistic deadlines. You will expected to perform in spite of extremely difficult goals enforced by upper-level management. If you can't sell well, then you will definitely be a low priority employee or you're fired.

I worked at Shaw Academy full-time

    Pros

A great place to gain experience in sales.

    Cons

Employees are dispensable here. Working in sales was stressful and exhausting. Coupled with unrealistic targets, one can definitely be stressed with this kind of job. But the main problem is having no job security here. Once you can't meet your target, you'll be out of the door in no time. They have no remorse.

I worked at Shaw Academy full-time

    Pros

The job itself is great if it's your passion. Also, most co-workers are nice.

    Cons

Management will give you unbearable workloads. The managers demand unrealistic expectations, and they force employees to work for longer hours than usual. It's much worse because communicating with management is extremely difficult. This means that employee concerns are rarely addressed on time. Also, there's no job security for you here because management fires people without warning.

I have been working at Shaw Academy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great co-workers whom I have formed friendships with.

    Cons

Working is here is just exhausting. From long hours of work, unrealistic targets, and no job security- all these things are too exhausting to even think about. I love teaching but the work environment here isn't worth all the trouble. I would rather work somewhere else where educators are appreciated, given importance, have work-life balance and are being recognized.

I have been working at Shaw Academy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If teaching is your passion, you might enjoy working here

    Cons

Long hours of work that makes you drop work-life balance. It's just always work and no time left to spend with your family. Complaining would only result into firing. So, if you can't afford to suddenly lose your job, you don't have to a choice but to be miserable and suffer.

I worked at Shaw Academy full-time

    Pros

I can't think of any. I want to say I have friends here but because of the competition, I don't have any.

    Cons

Unrealistic targets that prohibits employees to get commissions. No matter how hard an employee would work, there's no way he could get an incentive or commission because of the unrealistic target set by management. i'm pretty sure they made this targets to really limit who can receive commissions. This company clearly doesn't care about its employees. It has been their practice to fire employees. Though I'm sure they are violating labor laws by sudden firing of employees, they get away from it.

    Pros

Met some great people, all former employees now after the many successive purges as the management drowned in its own arrogance and ineptitude.

    Cons

Dodgy business practices, awful management, poor compensation for the amount of effort they asked for. Terrible company all round and I pity anyone still working there.
