Pros
After a certain point, I could no longer walk into a pharmacy or associated section of a grocery store without seeing Sharp work & feeling proud of my role in getting those products there. I could no longer watch the evening news without seeing all the pharma commercials - and feel a measure of pride in having worked at Sharp and having made that happen. Bottom line is that the products Sharp packaged while I was there were okay; they were safe! And cost effective for the pharmas that hired Sharp. If you are a customer - the Conshohocken location is unreal good, particularly in terms of QA/QC. If you are an applicant - go to Conshohocken if you can.
Cons
It was a personal hell for me to arrive at feeling the "Pro" statement I just made. Their Allentown location is a hellhole. Their Conshohocken location is truly approaching the acronym, "COE." The Conshohocken location QA/QC is out of this world good for a CMO. Get your blistering done there if you are a customer. Start there if you are applying for any jobs in the pharma packaging industry. Your job may be very tough since it's a company in transition, but, if you have tenacity, fortitude, the ability to learn really fast, ESP, and superpower personality skills, you will survive and learn a lot. Sharp HR totally sucks! Don't expect an accurate job description (if any), pay commensurate with responsibility, and much more. YOU are screwed from the get go if you possess any genuine intelligence or experience - or - weren't hired on the recommendation of a friend or relative. Their HR is disgusting at best and needs total replacement in order to enter the correct century.
