- The worst codebase you’ll ever see and can possibly imagine. Millions of lines and 100s of styles and patterns, not a single one of them good
- You wont learn much because we avoid hard problems in favour of quick action items to seem productive
- Many that have worked here a long time can cause you lots of problems if you make them look bad. Do NOT try to improve anything if the person who built it still works here or they will use their relationships behind closed doors get back at you
- There’s no true technical culture. Decisions aren’t made on merit and mostly hidden. Heroics are rewarded and competence feared
- There’s no experienced leaders in engineering. We’ve had leads staff and engineering managers join but the best ones always quit or get fired in weeks or months which only proves to me if I want to last here I can’t appear more competent than those who pull the strings if I want to keep my job
- Very right-leaning company and many can be openly political. Doesn’t bother me personally but we don’t really have managers or HR to help you if that type of stuff bothered you
