Constant turn over due to poor management.
Pros
There were some great staff members. The four day work week fit my personal schedule. Health insurance was offered to full-time employees.
Cons
I worked there for just over a year and in that time I noticed the employee turn over rate was inordinately high. This was not based on employee merit; In most cases it was due to the owners regular, large scale changes that fluctuated as often as the wind. The new owner (ex daughter in law of the founder) had semi-recently inherited the company and, in my opinion, had little working knowledge of how to run a large business. In her frantic attempts to be innovative and modern it seemed she focused on very little for more than a couple days at a time. With her consistently changing plans came consistently changing staff and internal structural organization. She had little regard to the well-being of her employees, although if asked, she'd say quite the opposite. I was always amazed at her lack of self awareness and general disregard for professional demeanor. I believe it would be a huge benefit to this long standing company for the owner to invest in some business classes. She is systematically running the company into the ground.
